INSURANCE OF MOTOR VHEICLE AGAINST THIRD PARTY RISKS IN HARYANA

Presentation of Certificate of Insurance While Paying Tax in Haryana[Section 146(2)(3)]


According to Section 146(2)(3) An owner of a motor vehicle, other than a vehicle to which sub-section (2) or sub-section (3) or section 146 applies, shall, while applying for payment of tax under the provisions of the Punjab Motor Vehicles Taxation Act, 1924, present for the perusal of the registering authority a certificate of insurance in the following form showing that there is in force the necessary policy of insurance for the motor vehicle concerned:

Motor Vehicle Reserve Fund in Haryana[Section 146(3)]


In Haryana motor vehicle reserve fund shall be established and the contribution thereto shall be made at the rate not less than rupees five hundred per annum per vehicle by any of the authorities specified in sub-section (3) of section 146. Provided that the contribution may cease when the maximum limit of rupees two thousand per vehicle is reached, but it shall again be continued at the aforesaid rate when the accumulation in the motor vehicle reserve falls below the maximum as a result of withdrawals from the fund.
